Echocardiogram Referrals
We are now accepting echocardiogram referrals from local colleagues! To refer a patient, please fill out the referral form.
Our system enables us to receive real-time support and guidance by licensed sonographers. They remote in to our system to assure us we’ve collected ideal images, videos, and assist in completing all needed measurements for a complete echocardiogram scan.
All echocardiogram studies will be referred to a boarded cardiologist with Oncura Partners for review and interpretation to assist with treatment planning. The report will be submitted to the primary care veterinarian for follow-up patient care. Our role would simply be to complete the echocardiogram per the indications of the referring veterinarian.
Please consider prescribing gabapentin at 20mg/kg PO to be given 4 hours prior to echocardiogram visit. For a mild level of sedation, injectable butorphanol is included in the pricing. If additional sedation or anesthesia is required to perform an ultrasound exam, additional charges will be necessary and will be discussed with the client prior to the exam.

Full Cardiac Staging — $699
- Light Sedation with butorphanol
- Diagnostics performed at Animal Care Clinic
- Echocardiogram
- 3-view chest radiographs
- Electrocardiogram
- HDO blood pressure evaluation
- Review of medical history and laboratory testing
- Interpretation, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations by a veterinary cardiologist
- Follow-up email with cardiologist to discuss recommendations and treatment options
Note: Oncura Partners does not permit echocardiograms for pediatric patients with presumed congenital heart defects. They recommend these cases be seen in person by a cardiologist.
A procedure reservation fee is to be paid by the client immediately upon scheduling the echocardiogram. This fee will be applied toward the overall balance upon completion of the scheduled scan. The remaining balance is to be paid by the client upon discharging the patient.
